How do I sign up for Hopr?

Download the Hopr App from the Google Play Store or App Store. Sign up using your mobile number and a valid email address. You will receive an OTP to verify your number. Enter your route details from your office to home to complete your profile. Once verified, you are ready to start carpooling/bikepooling.

I didn’t receive an OTP

Please ensure your mobile number is entered correctly. Check your network signal and SMS settings. You can try again by tapping on ""Resend OTP."" It may take a few minutes. If the issue continues, reach out to our support team at at support@hopr.mobi

I’m unable to Log in

Please ensure your mobile number and OTP are entered correctly. If the issue continues, reach out to our support team at support@hopr.mobi using your registered email address

Why is verification required?

Verifying your work Email ID helps us ensure that people who are sharing rides are trusted professionals. It’s an important step we take that goes a long way in keeping your ride experience safe and secure

Why do I need to share my work Email ID for verification?

Verifying via your work Email ID ensures you are part of a verified workplace network. It adds a layer of safety and trust for everyone using Hopr. We respect your privacy. Your work Email ID is used strictly for verification and will not receive marketing emails from us

Can I switch between being a guest and a host?

Yes, you can. You will find the option to change roles right on the home screen. Whether you are planning to offer a ride or looking to join one, it’s easy to select what works best for you

Ride Related

How do I offer a ride as host?

Enter your Home address and Office address • Select your leaving and returning time • Click on Submit. You will see matching options simply choose the one that suits you best and click on 'Offer Ride'. Once the guest completes the payment, your ride is confirmed

How do I find a ride as guest?

Enter your Home address and Office address • Select your leaving and returning time • Click on Submit. You will see matching options simply choose the one that suits you best and click on 'Request Ride'. After the hosts accept, complete the payment and your ride is confirmed

How do I check my matches?

You can check for matches anytime by: 1.Selecting your role (Host/Guest) on the home screen 2.Selecting the date at the top of the screen to see matches If there are no immediate matches, don’t worry, we will save your preferences and notify you as soon as a match becomes available.

Can I cancel a ride after it's confirmed?

Yes, you can cancel your ride any time, even after ride payment To cancel: • Go to the Ride Menu • Tap on Not Going Your ride will be cancelled, and your listing will no longer be visible to others for that day

What if my host doesn’t show up?

If your host has not arrived, we recommend waiting at least 5 minutes after the scheduled time. You can try reaching out to them via chat or call from the app. We encourage all users to be respectful and keep each other informed in case of delays. If you decide not to take the ride, please cancel the ride in the app this helps keep everyone informed and allows others to find alternate options in time

What is a Daily Ride?

A Daily Ride lets you set up your daily home-to-office ride just once. After that, the same ride is automatically created for you every day.

How can I contact my host/guest?

You can reach out to your host/guest via call or chat by tapping the contact icon on their profile.

Where can I find the guest’s pickup address?

Once the ride starts, you will see a list of confirmed guests along with their details on your screen. To navigate to a guest’s pickup point, simply tap the Navigation button on their profile. This will open Google Maps with the pickup and drop locations

Can I cancel just one ride from my daily schedule?

Yes, you can cancel a single ride from the My rides section without affecting your daily schedule. If you are away for a few days, you can temporarily pause your daily ride to avoid daily notifications. To pause daily rides: • Go to Ride Settings • Tap on 'Edit Ride' • Uncheck the days (e.g., Mon–Fri) to stop the rides from being created. You can turn it back on anytime when you are ready to start again

Referrals

How does the referral program work?

Invite your friends, colleagues, or society members to join Hopr using your referral code. You'll earn a reward once they complete four rides on the app, and they'll get a welcome bonus too

Can I enter a code after I’ve already signed up on Hopr?

No, referral codes can only be added during signup. But don't worry, you can still refer others and start earning rewards

When will I get my reward?

You will receive your reward after your friend completes 4 rides on Hopr. The reward will be credited directly to your Hopr wallet within 24 hours after the ride completion.

How can I maximize my referral rewards?

Share your referral code with colleagues, neighbours and friends who travel to office regularly. Remind them to complete 4 rides to unlock your rewards. Post it in your WhatsApp society groups or office channels No limit on the amount you can earn as big as 1 Lakh.

How can I earn ₹10,000 through referrals?

You can easily reach ₹10,000 by referring a mix of hosts and guests. Here's how it works 👇🏻 For every user you refer, you earn ₹500 after completion of 4 rides. 20 Hosts or Guests = 20 x 500 = ₹10,000

Where can I track my referrals?

You can track your referral by clicking the "track invites" option on referrals page. There, you can view the users you have referred along with their ride completion status. Pro tip: Use the "Remind" option to notify your friend or colleague to complete their ride and help you earn the referral bonus

Is there a limit to how many people I can refer to?

Nope! There's no limit on how many people you can refer to. Refer to as many friends, family, colleagues, or neighbours as you wish. The more people complete their respective 4 rides using your code, the more rewards you earn

Payments

How is ride fare calculated?

The fare is a flat fee based on the distance traveled: 5 points per kilometer for bike rides 7 points per kilometer for car rides Your total points will be calculated automatically based on the distance between your home and office address

I paid for a ride but didn’t take it. What should I do?

If you decide not to take a confirmed ride, we recommend cancelling it in advance to avoid being charged. If you've already been charged: • Go to My Rides • Tap on Completed Rides and select the relevant ride • Open the menu and choose Request Refund Amount will be refunded immediately

I didn't receive payment for ride offered

For refund, please contact our support team and amount will be refunded immediately

How do I pay for a ride?

Once your ride request is accepted/or you accept a host’s invitation, you will need to pay the fare in advance to confirm your booking. You can complete the payment easily using any UPI app of your choice

What if the host cancels the ride after I’ve made the payment?

If the host cancels the ride after you’ve paid, don’t worry, your payment will be automatically refunded to your original payment method. Refunds are usually processed instantly, but in some cases, it may take up to 24 hours depending on your payment provider. If you don’t receive your refund within that time, please reach out to us at support@hopr.mobi, and we’ll be happy to assist.

Safety

Is it safe to carpool/ bikepool with someone I don’t know?

Yes, safety is our top priority. All users go through verification, and you can view ratings, company name, and ride history before accepting a ride. We recommend travelling only with verified users

How can I verify the identity of my co-rider?

You can view their profile, which includes their name, photo, company name, verification status, and past ride ratings. We encourage both guests and hosts to keep their profiles up to date

What safety checks are in place for ride givers (hosts)?

Hosts are required to add vehicle details and verify their identity. You’ll also see how many rides they’ve completed and their overall rating, so you can make an informed choice.

Can I share my ride details with others?

Yes. Once your ride is confirmed, you can share your trip details including pickup time, route, and vehicle info with a friend or family member or with your emergency contacts

What should I do if I feel unsafe during a ride?

If something doesn’t feel right, you can use the Call Support option in the app to get immediate assistance. We also recommend ending the ride early if necessary and reporting the issue via the support section.

Can I report a host?

Yes, absolutely. Your safety and comfort are very important to us. If you’d like to report a host, you can: • Contact our support team directly through the app, or • Write to us at support@hopr.mobi We take such reports seriously and will take appropriate action promptly.
